Client confidentiality agreement

At Revamp-MyLife, confidentiality and discretion are fundamental to how we work. Our services often involve access to sensitive personal, professional, and business information, and we are committed to protecting that information with the highest level of care and integrity.

This policy explains how confidential information is handled in the course of providing our services.

1. What we consider confidential

Confidential information includes any non-public information shared with us or accessed by us in the course of our work, whether in written, verbal, or electronic form. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Personal details such as names, identification numbers, contact details, addresses, and family information

  • Financial information including banking details, income records, expenses, and tax-related documentation

  • Business information such as client lists, operational processes, internal documents, and strategic plans

  • Communications, including emails, messages, calendars, and administrative records

  • Any information reasonably understood to be private or confidential by its nature

2. How confidential information is used

Confidential information is used solely for the purpose of delivering agreed services to our clients. We do not use client information for any unrelated purpose, marketing activity, or personal gain.

Access to confidential information is limited to authorised personnel or service providers who require it to perform their duties and who are bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.

3. Protection & safeguards

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard confidential information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These measures may include secure storage systems, controlled access, and ongoing awareness of data protection best practices.

4. Disclosure requirements

Confidential information will not be disclosed to third parties unless:

  • Disclosure is necessary to perform agreed services

  • Disclosure is required by law, court order, or regulatory authority

  • The client has provided explicit consent

Where legally permitted, clients will be notified of any required disclosure.

5. Retention & disposal

Confidential information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil service obligations or legal requirements. When no longer required, information is securely destroyed or permanently de-identified. Certain records may be retained where required by law or for secure backup purposes, subject to ongoing confidentiality obligations.

6. Ongoing duty of confidentiality

Our duty of confidentiality continues during and after the conclusion of any service engagement. Respect for client privacy and discretion remains a core principle of our work at all times.

7. Recruitment & sensitive engagements

For specialist recruitment services and other sensitive engagements, we apply enhanced discretion and confidentiality measures to protect both clients and candidates throughout the process.

8. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of South Africa.
